Ministries

Each year, Lord of Life selects two area organizations to support through this special collection during the month of January.

The Coffee Ministry welcomes members and visitors with coffee and cookies each Sunday, as well as supporting coffee service for funerals and memorial services and for special occasions. 

Every summer, Lord of Life raises money for Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio through this benefit golf tournament.

Lord of Life members participate in this OSU-based church that meets Wednesday evenings to study the word and Sunday evenings to worship together.

The Mission Endowment Fund is part of a pooled trust fund to receive gifts and manage annual interest payments to further Christ's ministry in the world. 

Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one caregiving ministry at Lord of Life. This ministry involves walking as a Christian beside people going through a rough patch in life such as grief, illness, loneliness, divorce, loss of job, etc.

Prison Fellowship Angel Tree allows local congregations to extend the hope of the Gospel to families with loved ones in prison. During November and December, Lord of Life members are invited to adopt a family for gift sharing. 

This group meets monthly to focus on social justice through contemplation, education, and action by God’s grace toward us and toward one another.

This team works with the Council and pastor to manage annual stewardship campaigns.

This ministry is a free service for local seniors who want to downsize, declutter and organize their belongings. 

Nursery Volunteers at Lord of Life Church provide childcare for all children ages 0-5 in the nursery. This ministry enables parents of young children to fully participate in worship.

The usher team ensures that members, guests, and visitors to Lord of Life Church  truly feel welcome and experience God’s radical inclusion, relentless compassion and extravagant grace each Sunday.

Lord of Life contributes time and resources to support 1,500 children in Worthington, South Western, and Columbus City Schools through this school-aged children meal program.

Lord of Life partners with four other area churches to support a breakfast and Thursday dinner ministry at First English Lutheran Church.

This group provides hospitality to all people who walk through our church doors. They also plan several fellowship meals throughout the church year. 

This team, consisting of around 40 members, serves families within the Lord of Life community during times of upheaval, change, grief, illness, or transition. 

​Members meet every other week to knit blankets for baptisms, members in times of crisis, grief or illness.

The Worship Arts team produces installations in the sanctuary. These pieces are inspired by God's Word, in accordance with the liturgical seasons.
