Care & Prayer

There has been a death in my family. Who should I call?

Please contact the church office at your earliest convenience. You will also need to contact a burial service provider (funeral home) who will guide you through the next steps to take. Members should strongly consider having memorial services at the church, surrounded by the symbols and community of faith.

I'm having surgery next week. I'm facing a challenge, or am in the midst of adversity. Can I have the whole community pray for me?

We would be honored to walk with you during this challenging time. You are always welcome to voice your prayers in Sunday worship, after which the whole community will respond “hear our prayer, or you may wish to send a prayer request to our e-prayer ministry by phone or email as well.

I have a need for counseling. Are there resources at Lord of Life?

Yes. Lord of Life Lutheran Church has pastoral resources and can gladly meet by appointment with members to offer spiritual counsel and guidance. If the need extends beyond the scope of spiritual care, a resource list of qualified psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and local social service agencies in the Columbus area will be provided.

I have a friend who needs help / counseling. Can Lord of Life Church help?

Yes. Your friend is welcome to call the church and make an appointment for spiritual counsel and guidance. If needed, a resource list of qualified psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and local social service agencies in the Columbus area will be provided.
